Mandela day 2015 was a great success, visited by many organisations, some old friends and some new ones, who all contributed to make this a great day. We firmly believe and support this great initiative as it creates good exposure for us but also ensures us that in these troubling times we are living in we can still count on the generosity of individuals and companies out there to provide relief to us. Thank you to Insimbi Alloy Supplies who joined us at our care centre to celebrate an iconic day, we would like to thank Insimbi for breathing new life into New Beginnings Care Centre with a fresh coat of paint, as well as donations of maize meal, toiletries, clothing and toys. Our little ones at the centre were treated to cup cakes. We would also like to thank Academy Brushware , for providing the brushes and trays to paint the care centre. A special thanks to Capsicum Culinary Studio for donating soup and bringing some warmth and cheer to residents at the centre. A special thanks to Protea Chemicals for their donation of clothing and treats for our children in the centre. We appreciate and value the time and effort put into making this a memorable day for New Beginnings and the Community we serve.
Continuing a now established special day, Mandela day 2014 was a great success again. Visited by many organisations, some old friends and some new ones, who all contributed to make this a great day again. We firmly believe and support this great initiative as it creates good exposure for us but also ensures us that in these troubling times we are living in we can still count on the generosity of individuals and companies out there to provide relief to us. Thank you again to all involved and everybody who took time out of their schedules to visit us on Mandela day 2014.
The Care Centre is not only a place for destitute and displaced individuals but it also acts as a permanent residence for many. We have many people who will use the Centre as a half-way house but we also have inhabitants, especially families, who live with us for longer periods. Forgotten by family we try our best to make special days count for those that we have come to love and appreciate. Remembering a birthday goes a long way to build the spirit and lift the mood.
At our Centre our ladies are special. We do not have to wait for woman’s day to spoil them…A cup of tea, a biscuit or two and you can arrange a nice enjoyable afternoon for the ladies. A little gesture like a ladies tea also help all involved to break away from reality a bit and also to just blow of some steam.
Xmas day is always a special day for us here at New Beginnings Care Centre. Special for two reasons: 1. We get presents & 2. We give presents. Through our network of regular supporters we collect many presents during each calender year to prepare for Xmas day. Our aim is not only to provide just for our inhabitants but on Xmas day we open our doors to the community. By grace we manage to provide everybody with a present on this day, Care Centre Inhabitants as well as community members visiting us. As we serve a very poor surrounding community this day puts a smile on many faces. In 2013 we even managed to give everybody some chocolates and sweeties. Thank you to all the great supporters and donations that made Xmas day 2013 a possibility.
A unique and special day in remembrance to our beloved Madiba has become a treasured day on our annual calender. 2013`s Mandela day was a massive success and was well supported by various local and national organisations and corporates. This special day has also increased our exposure to possible donators. We would like to thank everybody involved in Mandela day 2013, you made this day special to many people.
